Kallpa Construction recently completed a full tenant improvement for a medical off in Irvine, CA. This project involved a comprehensive interior renovation aimed at modernizing the space while improving functionality and patient flow. Work included selective demolition of existing millwork, cabinetry, lighting, and electrical components, followed by reconfiguration of interior partitions to optimize exam rooms, reception, and support areas. Electrical systems were upgraded with new dedicated outlets, dimmer controls, and additional lighting to enhance visibility and efficiency throughout the clinic. Finishes were refreshed across the entire space, including patching and repairing existing surfaces, new paint throughout, updated base, ceiling improvements, and coordination for new millwork and fixtures. Existing elements were preserved where feasible, with careful integration of new systems to maintain cost efficiency without sacrificing quality. The result is a clean, modern medical environment designed to support both staff performance and patient experience.

To maintain a clean and safe environment during construction, our team implemented comprehensive dust control measures, including air scrubbers, dust extraction systems, sticky mats, and continuous project cleaning. Kallpa Construction was engaged to perform a specialized water damage restoration project involving a leaking pipe located within a multi-story fire-rated shaft wall assembly. The project required careful planning, strict safety protocols, and precise reconstruction to maintain the building's fire-resistance rating while providing access for critical plumbing repairs. Our team installed dust containment systems, protected adjacent electrical infrastructure, and performed selective demolition of the fire-rated wall assembly to expose the damaged piping. Due to the unique conditions of the multi-story shaft, comprehensive fall protection measures were implemented to ensure OSHA-compliant access and worker safety throughout the project. Following the completion of plumbing repairs, Kallpa reconstructed the shaft wall assembly to match the original UL-listed fire-rated system. This included the installation of new metal stud framing, multiple layers of Type X drywall, firestopping at all penetrations and joints, and professional finishing to seamlessly match the existing structure. The project concluded with detailed cleaning, debris removal, and restoration of the surrounding area to its original condition.
